Ive been coming to Maggies for over 30+ years. Jr. And all of the Ladys in the kitchen do an excellent job. Never forgetting anything. The food is always great, fresh, hot and tastey. Its so great my family and I order from here at least 3 times a month or try to. So if your looking for great food stop by and visit them. The corn burrittos, and chilli verdae' burritos are the bomb. Thanks Jr. And everyone for tastey hot fresh food...

If you're on the hunt for some fantastic Mexican food, Maggie on the Avenue is the place to be! It's a cozy little spot with a walk-up counter, perfect for grabbing some delicious eats on the go. I've been a loyal customer of Maggie's for quite some time now, and let me tell you, it's always worth the drive across town for one of their mouthwatering burritos. I recently swung by for lunch with a friend and indulged in their Carne Asada burrito with all the fixings. Let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion! The burritos here are always spot on, prepared just the way you like them. And don't even get me started on their flautas - they're a must-try! Service at Maggie's is top-notch - quick, efficient, and always served up with a smile. I've never had any issues with them, although I do miss the picnic table they used to have outside. It was a nice touch, but alas, it's no longer there. That's really my only gripe. Considering the quality of the food, I'd say it's well worth it. Although, I wouldn't mind seeing a seating area added in the future. Overall, Maggie on the Avenue is a gem of a spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine. With flavorful dishes, friendly service, and a convenient location, it's definitely earned its spot as one of my favorite go-to spots in town.

We eat at Maggies for lunch at least 3 times per week. We work nearby. They have the process down over there...from ordering, to picking up, the quickness, and of course the grub! Enjoy the this group very much :)

This place is a hidden gem! Their breakfast burritos are so good and so filling. You get a lot of bang for your buck. They really don't skimp out on the meat, beans, cheese, eggs, and rice. The burrito itself was really heavy and I had half a burrito leftover at the end. I really like how it was steaming hot when we got it and salsa is to die for. It just adds the proper amount of acidity and freshness to the burrito. This was the first time trying this place and I'm glad that I did cause it's one of my favorite places to get burritos now. Can't wait to come back to try other delicious foods on the menu!

I've got fourteen hundred sixty three bookmarks. Yeah, I am really good at bookmarking. I bookmark like a champ. But do I actually ever go to any of the places I have bookmarked? This year my New Year's resolution was to get busy visiting some of these places. So last week I looked over my collection and picked Maggie's On the Avenue. I'm so glad I did! If you live in Ventura, you automatically know "The Avenue" means Ventura Avenue, over on the west side of town. I worked for like ten or eleven years on the Avenue and have eaten at many of the Avenue's wonderful little restaurants, but I had never tried Maggie's before. I had no idea where it was. See, the Avenue is long. I mean, really long. It starts in downtown Ventura. I'm not sure exactly where it ends, it goes on for miles and miles. I think you can actually take the Avenue all the way up California, Oregon, and Washington, straight through Canada, and into Alaska. My guess is it probably goes all the way to Pt. Barrow. That's 2,899 miles. Maggie's is only like 15 minutes from Downtown, but to get there you have to drive by a lot of other great lunch places, like Johnny's, Taqueria Tepatilan and Taqueria Cuernavaca. With so many other places so much closer, you have to be dead set on eating at Maggie's to withstand the temptation to pull over and eat at one of those spots. And I was. I was on a mission. Nothing was going to stop me. The reason I picked Maggie's was because I wanted a burrito. Specifically a good Bean, Rice and Cheese burrito. I rarely eat meat burritos because I am very particular. Ridiculously so. I can not deal with mediocre burritos, and I think they suck at most places. I've been burned way too many times. I finally just gave up on meat burritos. These days the only burritos I ever order are Beans, Rice and Cheese. You might think it's easy to find a good BRC burrito, but it isn't. Not at all. So many places serve up bland, uninspired beans and rice. No flava. Not Maggie's! The beans and rice here are good. Real good. They made a fine BRC burrito. So happy I found a new place to score a good burrito when I'm in the mood for one. I particularly like that they offer two sizes: Medium and Large. I don't need a burrito the size of my forearm, so I went with a Medium. It was the perfect size for me. I liked that there was nothing else added to the burrito, too. I wouldn't have minded a little cilantro, but I was happy enough with just the beans rice and cheese. Now that I know where Maggie's is, I will definitely be back. There are actually a few other things I'm eager to try, like the huevos rancheros and the corn burritos. I saw some photos of their hamburgers and I'm definitely going to try one of those, they look so good. Oh, and those Munchers, what are Munchers? I don't know, but I'm gonna find out. Mikey C says: 1 bookmark down, 1,462 to go.
